Mumbai, April 29 - Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan released the first song 'Kahani' from his upcoming social comedy-drama film "Laal Singh Chaddha". The superstar kept the audience guessing about Kahani before he finally unveiled the song on Thursday (April 28). ## "Laal Singh Chaddha" is an Indian adaptation of Tom Hanks-fronted "Forrest Gump". Directed by Advait Chandan, the movie also stars Kareena Kapoor and Naga Chaitanya in key roles. Mumbai, November 16 - Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor's most-anticipated comedy-drama film, "Laal Singh Chaddha" was first announced to release on Christmas 2020 before it was postponed to the same weekend in 2021. However, due to the second covid-19 wave, the makers thought it won't be ready by the end of this year, hence they decided to postpone it again to Valentine's Day weekend 2022, and announced it with much enthusiasm. ## The latest development around this big-budgeted film is that even February 2022 release looks uncertain. According to reports, the post-production of LSC will take a lot of time and it won't be ready by the said announced date. It is said that Aamir has now decided to postpone it by 2-3 months, and will release it in mid-2022. ## "Laal Singh Chaddha's post-production will take a lot of time. There's so much work pending in its post-production and it can no way be ready for a February release. It's a film made on a big canvas and requires at least six months of post-production work. Aamir and the makers don't want to compromise on the quality of the film and hence have collectively decided to postpone it again by 2-3 months to make it as envisioned", a source close to the project informed peepingmoon.com. ## While the new release date for "Laal Singh Chaddha" is yet to be locked, the report said that the Valentine's Day weekend slot has now been booked by a leading production banner for its yet-untitled upcoming relationship drama starring a top actress. ## LSC is the official remake of Tom Hanks' 1994 Hollywood classic "Forrest Gump". It is produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Viacom18 Studios, and Paramount Pictures and co-stars Kareena Kapoor, Naga Chaitanya (Hindi debut), and Mona Singh in prominent roles. New Delhi, April 29 (IANS) Irrfan Khan was one of the few Indian stars to seamlessly transition from Bollywood to Hollywood while breaking the stereotypical barriers reserved for brown people in the West with his unconventional acting skills.## From pivotal roles in big-budget tentpoles like "Jurassic World", "Inferno" and "The Amazing Spider-Man" to critically acclaimed and successful crossover dramas such as "The Namesake", "Slumdog Millionaire" and "Life of Pi", Irrfan was India's first and biggest export to Hollywood. And he did all this without making any clamor about invading the West, and instead let his work do the talking.## He was the actor who matched the Oscar-winning Tom Hanks' on-screen thunder. He was the star who turned down offers to work with Matt Damon, Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Leonardo DiCaprio, Christopher Nolan, and Ridley Scott without breaking a sweat. He was the actor who retained his identity as an Indian while escaping the stereotypical traps, sometimes as a police inspector in "Slumdog Millionaire", sometimes as a doctor in "The Amazing Spider-Man", sometimes as a powerful businessman in "Jurassic World" and sometimes as the head of an enigmatic international organization known as 'The Consortium' in "Inferno".## While promoting "Inferno", actor Tom Hanks said he wants to be cool like Irrfan.## "Here's what I hate about Irrfan Khan... Your nationality doesn't really become a limitation," the National Award-winning star had said.## He also starred in the 2017 film "The Song Of Scorpions", and 2007 movie "A Mighty Heart", which also featured Angelina Jolie, besides the Indo-German short film "The Cloud Door" (1994).## After working on the small screen, Irrfan made his film debut with a cameo in 1988 through Mira Nair's Oscar-nominated "Salaam Bombay". The actor passed away in Mumbai on Wednesday. He was 53.## The actor, diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor in 2018, was still recovering from the disease after extensive treatment in London.## The actor was taking baby steps back into the acting world. It also features Tom Hanks, Felicity Jones, Omar Sy, Ben Foster and Sidse Babett Knudsen.## * The Namesake (2006)## He collaborated with Mira Nair for the film based on the novel by Jhumpa Lahiri. Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson offer blood to help develop vaccine for coronavirus

Los Angeles, April 26 (IANS) Covid-19 survivors Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have offered their blood to help develop a vaccine for coronavirus.## In early March, the couple had tested positive for Covid-19 while in Australia.## They returned home to Los Angeles at the end of March after recovering.## Hanks said on a podcast last week that he and Wilson volunteered to donate their blood and plasma for coronavirus research, reports variety.com.## "A lot of the questions (are) what do we do now? Is there something we can do? And, in fact, we just found out that we do carry the antibodies," he said. "We have not only been approached, but we have also said, aDo you want our blood? Can we give plasma?'"## The actor also said that he had a name ready if a coronavirus vaccine is made from his blood donation.## "In fact, we will be giving it now to the places that hope to work on what I would like to call the 'Hank-ccine'," he said.## Hanks also said that he and Wilson are feeling "just fine" and "dandy" after their bout with the virus.## Stay tuned...
