Mumbai, June 18 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar teamed up with Tamil director Sudha Kongara for the drama film Sarfira, which is the remake of Kongara's Soorarai Pottru starring Suriya who plays a cameo in the remake. ## Produced by Aruna Bhatia of Cape of Good Films, Suriya and Jyotika’s 2D Entertainment, and Vikram Malhotra-led Abundantia Entertainment, Sarfira is scheduled to release on July 12 and the makers are set to launch the much-awaited trailer today (June 18). Mumbai, February 12 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is gearing up for the release of the much-awaited actioner Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, co-starring Tiger Shroff, and Prithviraj Sukumaran, among others. The movie, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, will be hitting big screens on Eid 2024. ## Akshay's next after BMCM will be the Hindi remake of the Tamil movie Soorarai Pottru, directed by Sudha Kongagra. The movie was supposed to hit screens in February this year but was postponed to keep a long gap between the actor's last release and BMCM. ## Now, according to Pinkvilla, producers Vikram Malhotra and Suriya along with Akshay Kumar have locked July 12, 2024, for the theatrical release of the movie that is tentatively titled Start Up. Mumbai, March 11 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar was supposed to commence the shooting for his Amazon Prime Video series "The End" this year, but it seems the series is getting delayed further. ## Prime Video has announced "The End" with Akshay in 2019, during an event in Mumbai. But, before it could go on floors, the coronavirus pandemic hit the country and it was delayed indefinitely. Last year, Vikram Malhotra of Abundantia Entertainment, the co-producer of the series, said in an interview that it would go on floors by early 2022. ## However, with development yet, Akshay Kumar has now said that it is delayed to the next year as the makers are not happy with the screenplay. "We were going to start this year but we were not satisfied with the screenplay.
