The Abhishek Sharma-directed movie was expected to be one of the biggest grossers of the year, but it couldn't live up to the expectation and underperformed at the box office with a worldwide collection of around 97 crores gross. ## "Ram Setu" was co-produced by Amazon Prime, marking its production debut in India. On Wednesday, Akshay Kumar took to social media and announced the digital premiere of the movie. Mumbai, November 3 - The festival of light, Diwali is the biggest occasion for the Hindi film industry and it has always brought joy to the fraternity at the box office. This year, Bollywood has two big films in the form of Ram Setu, and Thank God and both were big enough to bring huge smiles to the faces of the film fraternity. ## Despite the hopes, the Bollywood industry was concerned with the way how things went throughout the year, especially on Holi and Eid festivals and their fear came alive with the underwhelming response to both "Ram Setu" and "Thank God". Despite the mixed to positive talks, both films didn't meet the high expectation. ## "Ram Setu", which stars Akshay Kumar in the lead role, was a perfect outing for Diwali 2022 because of its action-adventure genre revolving around Ram Setu, and so was Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra's "Thank God". Mumbai, October 31 - Ram Setu had an average first extended weekend at the box office with around 56cr net box office collections. There was a chance of hitting the 60cr mark but the film remained flat on Sunday due to a cricket match between India and South Africa in peak collections time.## That was one reason but the biggest reason for a limited Saturday growth and flat Sunday was due to average to poor feedback from the audiences as they did not like the film. The extended weekend collections of 56cr came due to the Diwali holidays and the star power of Akshay Kumar and not due to the film.## The first Monday's early estimates suggest 2.70 crores net which is a poor number once again and the film will continue to fall from here on. The first Monday collections will take the entire box office collections of Ram Setu to around the 58.70cr net box office mark. The lifetime business of the film is set to be around 80-85cr net unless the film drops heavily. Mumbai, October 30 - Ram Setu which underperformed on the first weekend had shown its first growth yesterday when it grew around 20% and it was expected that the film will show further growth today but that did not happen. Of course, the collections are better than yesterday but the trajectory of the film is not as good as it should have been. ## The film scored an estimated 7.75 crores net on its first Sunday, jumping approx. 5%. The main reasons for limited growth are a cricket world cup match of India and that too in peak collection time. The other reason for limited growth is less appreciation of the film barring a few circuits where it had done decent business.## The first Sunday collections will take the entire box office collections of Ram Setu to around the 56.50cr mark. There is a shortfall of 4cr which would have made the extended weekend of Ram Setu on a decent note. The Monday hold will give the idea of the lifetime business of the film and whether it will be able to cross 100cr net collections or not. Mumbai, October 29 - Ram Setu which had underwhelming first four days is heading towards a decent day at the box office on its first Saturday of its box office run. The film has witnessed its first growth of the run as well. ## The early estimate collections suggest approx. 7.10 crores net which means the film has shown a growth of approx 20% which is good growth. Saturday is the best day for growth in multiplexes due to the next day being Sunday and as expected the film has put some decent collections in multiplexes. ## The first Saturday collections will take the entire collections of Ram Setu to around 48.75cr net box office collections. There is a huge Sunday holiday to come tomorrow and if the film gets some growth from Saturday then it will be a decent extended weekend for the film with approx 58-60cr net box office mark.## Sunday should record a double-digit mark as Sunday is a huge day for mass centers and Ram Setu is a film that is driven by mass centers. Mumbai, October 28 - Ram Setu, which recorded decent first three days at the box office with 35.40 crores net has shown another drop today at the box office. The film has witnessed a similar drop to yesterday with around a 20% drop depending on the final collections.## The early estimate collections suggest 7 crores net box office mark which will take the entire collections of Ram Setu to around 42.40cr net. The extended weekend collections are looking to be around the 60cr mark unless the film shows huge growth on Saturday and Sunday and goes towards the 65cr mark which is difficult due to less appreciation of the film.## The film did not perform at the expected level at least initially and the hope is that the film crosses the 100cr mark somehow for a decent result at the box office.
