Alia Bhatt's Film With Vasan Bala Gets Official Title and Release Date

Mumbai, September 26 - Bollywood's lady superstar Alia Bhatt has joined hands with "Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota" director Vasan Bala for the first time. The movie is produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions with Alia's Eternal Sunshine Productions.



On Tuesday (September 26), the makers officially announced the movie with the first look title motion poster. The movie, which is touted to be an action-thriller, has been titled Jigra. The motion poster begins with a quote by GK Chesterton flashing on the screen, which reads, "The paradox of courage is that one must be a little careless of life in order to keep it".



The motion poster shows Alia Bhatt with a bag on her shoulder as she is standing in the streets. A voice-over by Alia is played in the background with the actress ensuring to protect what seems to be her younger sibling. This looks like a completely different film than Alia has done so far in her career.





"Jigra" will be released during the Gandhi Jayanti weekend 2024, on September 27.





The shoot of "Jigra" has reportedly commenced and it will be Alia's next release. The actress was recently seen in "Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani" which minted over 340 crores at the worldwide box office. After Vasan Bala's film, Alia will move on to "Baiju Bawra" with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, followed by the female-led YRF Spy Universe Film.
