Hyderabad, September 28 - During the 18-months of the covid-19 pandemic era, the Telugu film industry has kept show biz running in India while others are struggling to cope up with the devastating once in a century pandemic.## Even in these tough times, the Telugu film industry has given six blockbuster movies, all came in 2021. The film had the best premiere night for an Indian film during the pandemic with $314K (Rs. 2.32 crore) on Thursday premiere. ## By the end of its opening weekend in the USA, the movie has crossed $1 million ($1.02 or 7.54 Cr) which includes $292K on Friday, $287K on Saturday, and $128K on Sunday apart from Thursday premiere. Hyderabad, September 24: Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya will be making his Bollywood debut with the upcoming Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer "Laal Singh Chaddha". The actor is currently busy promoting his film "Love Story" co-starring Sai Pallavi, which has been released in theaters on September 24. ## Naga, however, said in a recent interview that his focus is always on Telugu, and if he gets an opportunity to work in Hindi, he will do that. He also shared his experience of working with Aamir Khan and said that making his Hindi debut alongside the superstar was a big learning experience for him. ## "I got the opportunity of Laal Singh Chaddha magically, and everything happened organically. It was a great learning experience for me to spend nearly 50 days with Aamir Khan".## Earlier, Aamir Khan had attended the pre-release event of Love Story in Hyderabad, where he praised Chaitanya. Hyderabad, July 15, 2021: Last month, the Telangana government had removed all Covid-19 lockdown restrictions, paving the way for theatres to re-open. The Andhra Pradesh Government also has permitted theatres to reopen with 50% seating capacity. ## As the theaters are waiting for films to release on the big screens, the top producers and distributors of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have been meeting on a regular basis to discuss the further course of film releases in Telugu states. While a few films have already opted for direct-to-digital release, the movies such as Love Story, Tuck Jagadish, Most Eligible Bachelor, Seetimaar, among others gearing up for a theatrical release. ## Recently, Satyadev's Thimmarasu was announced for the July 30th release in theaters, becoming the first theatrical release announcement post the second covid-19 wave. Now, as per the latest development, Nani's "Tuck Jagadish" will be the first big-ticket Telugu movie to hit screens. The makers have reportadly finalized the July 30 release on a record number of screens. ## Tuck Jagadish, directed by Shiva Nirvana and produced by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi, is an action-masala film. Apart from Nani, the movie also stars Ritu Varma, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Jagapathi Babu in prominent roles while the music is composed by S. Thaman. ## On the other hand, Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi starrer romantic drama film, Love Story, is also gearing up for August 13th release in theaters. Love Story is written and directed by National award-winning, Sekhar Kammula, and produced by Amigos Creations and Sree Venkateswara Cinemas. ## The official announcement regarding Tuck Jagadish and Love Story is expected to come out soon.
