Prabhas 'Salaar 2' Shoot To Begin On August 10

Hyderabad, July 3 - Pan India superstar Prabhas, currently basking on the mega box office success of Kalki 2898 AD, is set to start the sequel of last year's success Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel amid the rumours of it getting shelved.



Salaar Part 1 was one of the highest-grossing Indian films of 2023 and the makers planned to commence the shoot of Salar Part 2 sooner than later to complete the story. The movie was supposed to go on floors by June this year but now, it will roll out in August.



According to the report by Pinkvilla, the 20% shoot of Salaar 2 is already completed and the makers will resume it on August 10 with a 15-day schedule at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. It is said that plans to resume the filming in June were delayed due to weather and date issues.





Prashanth Neel, meanwhile also has Jr. NTR's Dragon and the report says that the filmmaker will juggle between the shoots of the two movies. Salaar 2 will be shot for over 8 months with Dragon in 2024 and 2025, starting from August this year. The makers are planning to release the sequel by the end of 2025.





Salaar Part 1 was released in December last year and went to gross around 618 crores at the worldwide box office. It stars Prabhas in the title role alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, and Jagapathi Babu, among many others in key roles.





To keep the excitement up for the sequel, Prithviraj Sukumaran recently teased a major crossover in Salaar 2 with another universe.

Jr. NTR's Dragon With Director Prashanth Neel Locks Post-Theatrical Streaming Deal With Netflix

Hyderabad, October 15: One of India's most-awaited Pan India big-screen spectacles, Dragon (tentative title) starring superstar Jr. NTR and directed by Prashanth Neel, is making noise for all the right reasons. The movie is reportedly shaping up really well, amid the growing anticipation. Dragon or NTR 31 marks the first collaboration between NTR and Neel, who got the wide pan-India recognition with their recent films. Considering the top-tier talent involved and huge expectations among the nationwide audience, the makers are treating it as a proper Pan-India blockbuster, and accordingly have locked a post-theatrical streaming deal. According to the latest Telugu media reports, Dragon has finalised its streaming partner ahead of its massive theatrical release next year. The high-octane period actioner has reportedly sealed a lucrative digital deal with Netflix, with an 8-week post-theatrical window before its OTT premiere. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with NTR Arts, Dragon joins the very few South Indian origin Pan India films to lock an 8-week window. It is to be noted that to secure wide release in Hindi, a film requires an 8-week theatrical run, and the makers of Dragon are highly confident that their film will work wonders at the Hindi box office. However, an extended window for all versions is definitely a welcome move. The film, said to be mounted on a massive scale, features Jr. NTR in an intense action-packed role with Prashanth Neel's trademark dark, gritty tone and large-scale world-building. The shooting is currently in progress, with major portions being filmed in specially erected sets across Hyderabad and abroad.
