Mumbai, July 2 - As the first half of 2024 comes to an end, it has been a decent year for the Bollywood/Hindi film industry at the box office with a couple of hits. The film industry left with a big disappointment after the disastrous performance of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan, but there were a couple of unexpected hits which kept the box office running. ## The highest-grossing Hindi film of the year so far is Hrithik Roshan's Fighter with over 350 crores in gross collection at the worldwide box office. It is also the highest Hindi grosser overseas with an estimated 104 crores ($12.45 million). ## Fighter, despite not performing to the level of expectations, did well to rebound after the struggling first week when it dropped massively on the first Monday. Mumbai, June 19 - Director Rajesh A Krishnan's Crew has become the most-watched Indian film of 2024 on Netflix, surpassing the total reported viewership of Aamir Khan's production venture, Laapataa Ladies in just 24 days. ## The heist comedy, starring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon, Crew added 1.2 million views from June 10 - June 16, taking its total views to 17.9 million in 24 days. Laapataa Ladies had scored 17.1 million views during its stay in the top 10 on Netflix and is now the second most-watched Indian title of the year. ## Crew premiered on Netflix on May 24 after completing 8 weeks of the theatrical run with over 150 crores in gross collection at the worldwide box office. On its Netflix premiere, the movie scored 5.4 million views in the opening weekend, taking one of the best starts of the year for an Indian title. ## The movie's viewership shot up in the second week (May 27 - June 2) as it scored 8.9 million views. Mumbai, May 10 - The heist comedy Crew starring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon has topped 150 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office, becoming just the third Bollywood movie of the year after Fighter and Shaitaan to achieve the feat. ## Directed by Rajesh A Krishnan, the movie continues to score well in India due to the lack of competition. In its 6th week, Crew scored approximately 2.10 crores net (2.50 crores gross) pushing the total collection to 80.90 crores net (95.50 crores gross) in 42 days. ## Overseas, Crew has grossed an estimated 55 crores for worldwide 150+ crores. The movie will be looking to finish around 155 crores gross which makes it one of the biggest box office successes of the year so far for Bollywood. Starring Tabu, Kriti Sanon, and Kareena Kapoor, the movie is getting benefitted from the lean phase of new movies. ## Directed by Rajesh Krishnan, Crew minted approximately 3 crores net, dropping around 24% in its 5th week. The movie had the strongest hold in the last week in its box office run so far and it is expected to maintain the same trend in the next couple of weeks. ## The total net collection of the film is approximately 78.80 crores while the gross collection is around 93.25 crores in 35 days. Overseas, Crew has grossed an estimated 55 crores, pushing the total worldwide cume to over 148 crores. Mumbai, April 7 - In one of the major surprises of the year, Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon-fronted heist comedy film Crew has topped 100 crores at the worldwide box office and emerged as a hit venture for the makers. ## Directed by Lootcase fame Rajesh A Krishnan, the all-female-led entertainer reached the 100 crore gross globally on its 10th day and becomes the 5th Bollywood film of 2024 to achieve the feat after Fighter, Shaitaan, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and Article 370. ## Crew has grossed approximately 69 crores (including an estimated second Sunday collection) in India and an estimated 36 crores overseas for 105+ crores worldwide gross in 10 days. With this, it has surpassed the total collection of Article 370 and becomes the 4th highest-grossing Bollywood film of the year. ## It has become Kareena Kapoor's 12th film to enter the 100 crores worldwide box office club while for Tabu, Crew is her 11th film (including supporting roles), and 6th for Kriti Sanon.
