After 'Brahmastra', Ticket Prices For 'Chup', And 'Avatar' Reduce To Rs. 100

Mumbai, September 25 - The makers of psychological crime thriller Chup have reduced the ticket prices of the film from Monday (September 26) along with James Cameron's Avatar re-release and R. Madhavan's Dhokha: Round D Corner. ## The aforementioned films will be available to purchase for Rs. 100-110 in most theaters. The makers haven't made the official announcement regarding reducing ticket prices of the film but it seems, the decision came after Brahmastra Part One: Shiva makers confirmed that the film can be watched in just Rs. 100+GST from Monday to Thursday. ## Reducing ticket prices could largely benefit "Chup", "Avatar", and "Brahmastra" as these films have found acceptance among the audience. It has been a long cry within the film industry that movie ticket prices should be kept low so that large audiences can afford them, and the latest development suggests the makers are finally looking for course correction. ## Director R. Balki's "Chup" has scored well in the first two days and earned 5.13 crores net. The opening day witnessed higher footfalls than the second day due to the National Cinema Day, on which ticket prices were made available for just Rs. 75. The reviews and word of mouth are positive for this film. ## On the other hand, the "Avatar" re-release has also scored well in the first two days with approx. 4.50 crores net. Mumbai, September 23 - The Indian film industry is celebrating India's first ever National Cinema Day today, and it couldn't have asked for a better response than seeing the Housefull boards outside theaters across the nation. ## India is known as the country of festivals and it seems, we have a new addition to our multi-religion festivals in the form of National Cinema Day. ## Intended as a "Thank You" gesture toward the Indian cinema-loving audience, the Multiplex Association of India (MAI) declared September 23, 2022, as India's first ever NCD on which, the ticket prices have been kept as low as Rs. 75 for all the movies releasing on over 4000 out of total 11000 screens nationwide.## MAI has been expecting over 3 million footfalls on NCD and looking at the response, it will achieve the target. The psychological thriller stars Sunny Deol, Dulquer Salmaan, Shreya Dhanwanthary, and Pooja Bhatt in leading roles. ## "Chup" received rave reviews from the audience screenings, which were held across the country on September 20 where it has been hailed as one of the best thrillers from Bollywood. Mumbai, September 19 - Shreya Dhanwanthary, who has worked in the acclaimed web series "The Family Man" and "Scam 1992", is all set to headline director R. Balki's psychological thriller Chup: Revenge of the Artist with Sunny Deol, Dulqueer Salmaan, and Pooja Bhatt in the leading roles. ## Shreya has proved over the last few years how brilliant an actress she is and that was the reason he got cast in "Chup", according to the director Balki. The actress plays the role of Nila, the love interest of Salmaan's character in the movie. ## Speaking about casting Shreya in the film, the renowned filmmaker said, "Shreya is a volcanic talent. Mumbai, August 25 - Director R Balki has finalized the release date of Sunny Deol and Dulquer Salmaan's Chup: Revenge of the Artist. The psychological thriller film that also stars Shreya Dhanwanthary and Pooja Bhatt as the female leads will be released worldwide on September 23, 2022. ## Billed as an homage to master filmmaker Guru Dutt and his 1959 classic "Kaagaz Ke Phool", - "Chup" is produced by Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Anil Naidu, Dr. Jayantilal Gada (PEN Studios), and Gauri Shinde. The all-India distributing partner is Pen Marudhar. ## Meanwhile, the film also marks legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan's debut as a music composer. Mr. Bachchan is a frequent collaborator of R Balki and has created the end title track of the movie. "It marks the official debut of Amitabh Bachchan as a music composer.
