Hyderabad, August 14 - Telugu star Ram Pothineni's much-awaited sci-fi action drama film Double iSmart is finally hitting the big screen on August 15 and the movie is looking to make big at the box office during the long holiday weekend due to Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan.## Directed by Puri Jagannadh and also starring Sanjay Dutt and Kavya Thapar, Double iSmart has managed to fetch record theatrical business for Ram Pothineni-starrer. According to T2BLive, the sequel's worldwide theatrical business has been valued at 48 crores and it will need to score around 80 crores gross to emerge as a box office hit.## In Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana), the theatrical rights of Double iSmart have been locked at 39 crores, including 15.50 crores for the Nizam area, 6 crores for Ceeded and 17.50 crores for Andhra regions. Scheduled to be released on August 15, Double iSmart also features Sanjay Dutt in his Telugu debut and Kavya Thapar in prominent roles.## Double iSmart is an important movie for both Ram Pothineni and Puri Jagannadh and they seem to have gone all out for this mass entertainer just like the first part. It is revealed that the sequel has been censored with an A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) due to strong violence and dialogues. ## The sequel will be lengthier than the first part with approved theatrical runtime of 2 hours and 42 minutes (162 minutes). iSmart Shankar clocked 2 hours and 21 minutes which made it a neatly packed entertainer. It is one of the biggest hits in the career of both Puri and Ram, and now, the duo is looking to repeat the magic with the sequel Double iSmart. ## The last respective films of Puri Jagannadh and Ram Pothineni were box office failures but Double iSmart is expected to bring the duo in winning ways. There is genuine excitement for the movie among moviegoers and the makers have locked record business for the same.## According to Aakashavaani, Prime Show Entertainments, which earlier produced one of the biggest Telugu blockbusters Hanuman, has acquired the worldwide theatrical rights (excluding the Hindi version) of Double Ismart for 60 crores (6 crores recoverable and 54 non-recoverable). Produced by Puri Jagannadh and Charmy Kaur, Double iSmart also features Sanjay Dutt, marking his Telugu debut in a full-fledged role. ## Double iSmart is one of the most-awaited Telugu movies of the year and hence the makers are in no hurry to release it. The actor recently officially announced his maiden Telugu movie "Double iSmart" with director Puri Jagannadh. ## "Double iSmart", which is the sequel to "iSmart Shankar", will see Ram Pothineni reprising his lead role.
