YRF Unveils First Look Poster And Release Date of Vicky Kaushal and Manushi Chhillar's 'The Great Indian Family'

Mumbai, August 14 - Yash Raj Films' long-awaited comedy-drama film "The Great Indian Family", starring Vicky Kaushal and Manushi Chhillar in the leading roles finally has a release date in theaters. ## Directed by "Thugs of Hindostan" fame Vijay Krishna Acharya, "The Great Indian Family" has been in production since 2021, but it was delayed due to the covid-19 pandemic as well as some other reasons.## Now, the movie has been confirmed to hit cinemas worldwide on September 22, 2023, two weeks after Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan", and a week before Prabhas-fronted "Salaar". The release date was announced through a video featuring Vicky Kaushal.## In the video, Kaushal tells us what "family" means as he compares a family to a melodious classical Indian song. Mumbai, July 6 - The second installment of the anthology film "Lust Stories" has opened in the top 10 most-watched non-English films on Netflix. "Lust Stories 2" is consisting of four short film segments directed by R. Balki, Konkona Sen Sharma, Amit Ravindernath Sharma, and Sujoy Ghosh. ## The film premiered on June 29 and debuted at number 4 with 4.2 million views. The film, which is 2 hours and 13 minutes long, scored 9.3 million viewing hours in its opening weekend. The anthology received a mixed response from critics and digital audiences. ## "Lust Stories 2" is trending at the number in India as well as in Mauritius, Bangladesh, Maldives, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and UAE while also trending in the top 10 in Qatar, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Hong Kong, Bahrain, and Singapore on Netflix.## The first segment - "Made For Each Other" of the anthology is directed by R. Mumbai, June 14 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar reunites with his "Rustom" director Tinu Suresh Desai for a rescue thriller film which has been titled The Great Indian Rescue. ## The film is based on a mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill, who rescued 64 miners at the Raniganj Coalfields in 1989. Mumbai, July 8 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has commenced the filming of his much-talked-about biographical drama film, tentatively titled "Capsule Gill", in the UK. Tinu Suresh Desai, who previously directed Akshay in "Rustom" (2016), is directing this Pooja Entertainment production. ## "Capsule Gill", is based on the real-life story of mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill who saved the lives of 64 miners who were trapped in a mine at Raniganj Coalfields in eastern India in 1989, with Akshay Kumar playing Gill in the movie.## Meanwhile, a picture of Akshay Kumar while shooting for the movie has been leaked online. According to Variety, the image was clicked on set by a Kumar fan in a Yorkshire field while the crew was filming, despite Pooja Entertainment keeping the security tight and the location isolated. ## It is said that the upcoming movie is the biggest Indian production in terms of scale to take place in the U.K. yet, as Pooja Entertainment has reportedly blocked over 100 acres for the shooting of the film. The film is expected to wrap up filming in the U.K. by the end of August, before taking place in India for the rest of the shoot. ## While the official announcement is yet to be made, Parineeti Chopra is reportedly playing the female lead as Akshay's wife in the movie. It also stars Kumud Mishra, Pawan Malhotra, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, and Ravi Kishan in key roles along with Virendra Saxena, Varun Badola, Rajesh Sharma, and Ananth Mahadevan. Mumbai, June 28 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is all set to kickstart the shooting for his next film. He is currently shooting for the Hindi remake of the Tamil movie "Soorarai Pottru" which is expected to wrap up in the next few days.## Akshay will next take up Pooja Entertainment and Kyta Productions' joint production "Capsule Gill", which is based on the life of former additional chief mining engineer, Jaswant Singh Gill. The movie is set against the backdrop of the 1989 Raniganj coal mining disaster during which Gill carried out a rescue operation and saved the lives of 64 workers trapped in a flooded coal mine. ## According to Peepingmoon.com, the shooting of the film will commence on July 4th in the UK. "The pre-production and all have been completed and the team will fly to the UK on June 29th". Akshay will reportedly shoot there till July 31st and then return to India for the promotion of Raksha Bandhan. He will resume shooting for this film in September in Mumbai, followed by two short schedules in Raigarh and Raniganj later this year, per report.## "Capsule Gill" will be directed by Suresh Desai and it will feature Parineeti Chopra as the female lead opposite Akshay. It will mark their second film together after "Kesari". Meanwhile, the makers have reportedly brought an ensemble supporting cast on board the movie. ## The same report states that the movie will feature Kumud Mishra, Pawan Malhotra, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, and Ravi Kishan in key roles along with Virendra Saxena, Varun Badola, Rajesh Sharma, and Ananth Mahadevan.
