Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh's Blockbuster Marathi Film 'Ved' To Also Have Hindi Dubbed Digital Release

Mumbai, April 12 - Riteish Deshmukh's Marathi directorial debut film Ved recently completed 100 days in theaters with the blockbuster collection. It was released in theaters on December 30, 2022, and has grossed close to 75 crores, becoming the second highest-grossing Marathi film of all time. ## The film has been enjoying its run in theaters for more than 3 months and credit to the makers for giving it enough time to make the most of it. Since there is not much left in the tank for Ved as far as the box office is concerned, it is now gearing up for its digital release. ## Ved will be released on Disney+Hotstar on April 28. It will also be dubbed into Hindi language and will simultaneously be released on Hotstar with the Marathi version. The Hindi version wasn't released in theaters. ## Ved becomes the rare Marathi film to also have a dubbed release. It is a remake of the 2019 Telugu-language romantic drama, Majili, and stars Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh, reprising the roles of Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu from the original movie. ## The film may bring huge viewership to Disney Plus Hotstar for the Hindi version as the Hindi audience is aware of the film and its box office performance. ## Stay tuned...

Riteish Deshmukh's 'Ved' Crosses 50 Crores Gross, Becomes Second Biggest Marathi Movie Ever

Mumbai, January 15 - Riteish Deshmukh's directorial debut, Ved is continuing its heroic run at the domestic box office, emerging as a big blockbuster for Marathi cinema.## The romantic drama film, which is a remake of the 2019 Telugu-language film "Majili", has completed 16 days and scored 44.92 crores net. The gross collection of the movie has crossed 50 crores and becomes only the second Marathi film of all time to achieve the feat. ## Produced by Genelia Deshmukh, "Ved" has crossed blockbuster "Pawankhind's" lifetime collection (45 crores gross) to emerge the second highest-grossing Marathi film ever, behind only "Sairat" which is the only Marathi film to gross over 100 crores worldwide, 110 crores approx. ## "Ved" stars Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh in the leading roles, reprising the roles of Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu played in the original Telugu movie. Blockbuster 'Ved' Scored Biggest Second Sunday Of All-Time For A Marathi Film

Mumbai, January 9 - Actor-filmmaker Riteish Deshmukh's directorial debut, Marathi film Ved is having a historical run at the box office. The romantic-drama film is a remake of the 2019 Telugu-language film, "Majili", which starred Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead roles. ## "Ved" was released on December 30, 2022, and took one of the biggest openings ever for a Marathi film with 2.25 crores net. It went on to register an excellent opening weekend of 10 crores net before finishing the first week with 20.67 crores. ## Produced by Genelia D'Souza under the banner of Mumbai Film Company, "Ved" was in full flow in the second weekend and scored 10.75 crores net. Indian Box Office Witnesses Excellent First Day of 2023

Mumbai, January 1 - The Indian film fraternity must be hoping for a massive turnaround at the box office in 2023 and the industry must be happing seeing an excellent response in theaters on the very day of the new year. ## Despite no new movie release this new year's weekend, the Indian box office witnessed an excellent number of footfalls on January 1st, Sunday, with a gross collection of over 40 crores for the movie running in theaters for the last couple of weeks, led by Hollywood movie "Avatar: The Way of Water".## The James Cameron-directed sci-fi epic continues its exceptional run at the box office in India as it grossed another approx. 20 crores today. Riteish Deshmukh Marks His Directorial Debut With Marathi Film 'Ved'

Mumbai, December 8 - Recently, it was reported that Riteish Deshmukh would be making his directorial debut with a Marathi film. Confirming those reports, Riteish shared the first look of the film, titled "Ved", which is touted to be a romantic drama film.## Riteish took to Twitter and shared the first look poster and wrote, "After being in front of the camera for 20 years, I take a big leap to stand behind it for the first time. As I direct my first Marathi film, I humbly ask you all for your good wishes and blessings. Be a part of this journey, be a part of this madness. वेड (Madness)".## Apart from directing it, Riteish will be acting alongside his actor wife, Genelia Deshmukh and Jiya Shankar. Genelia, who has worked in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada films, will be making her Marathi debut with "Ved", which will be produced by Riteish's Mumbai Film Company.
