Los Angeles March 27 - The 2022 Academy Awards ceremony began Sunday, March 27 at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood on ABC.
Tonight's ceremony nominated some of the biggest movie stars in the world, from Denzel Washington and Nicole Kidman to Will Smith and Penelope Cruz (Washington, Kidman and Cruz are all past winners).
CODA won the coveted award ahead of films including Don’t Look Up and The Power of The Dog. Meanwhile, Will Smith won his first Oscar, Dune cleaned up with six awards, and Jane Campion became the third woman ever to win Best Director.
In one of the most shocking moments in recent awards show history, Will Smith stepped onto the Oscars stage and hit comedian and presenter Chris Rock after Rock joked about Jada Pinkett Smith. The full clip can be seen right below the list.
