RRR RRR is a fictional historical action drama directed by SS Rajamouli, set in 1920s colonial India. The film imagines a story where two legendary revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Jr. NTR), who in real life never met, cross paths and form a powerful bond. Raju, working as a police officer under the British, is secretly an undercover revolutionary trying to secure weapons for his people, while Bheem is on a mission to rescue a young tribal girl taken away by the ruthless British governor. Their friendship, forged through courage and sacrifice, is tested when duty and loyalty place them on opposite sides. Eventually, the truth about Raju’s hidden mission is revealed, and the two join forces to take on the oppressive empire in a spectacular showdown. At its heart, the film is not just about rebellion but also about the unbreakable bond of friendship and the sacrifices made for freedom. With larger-than-life action sequences, emotional drama, and the iconic Naatu Naatu dance number, RRR delivers a cinematic spectacle that blends myth, history, and imagination. It stands as a tribute to the spirit of resistance, portraying how unity and courage can ignite the fire of revolution against tyranny. Rajamouli conceptualised the film by reimagining the lives of Sitarama Raju and Bheem, envisioning their meeting in 1920s Delhi as two formidable forces uniting to battle British colonial rule. The film was officially announced in March 2018, and principal photography began in November 2018 in Hyderabad. The production faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and concluded in August 2021. RRR was shot extensively across India, with additional sequences filmed in Ukraine and Bulgaria.

Top Films With 100 Crore Openings At The Indian Box Office: Prabhas Dominates With Five Films

Hyderabad, September 26 - The Indian box office has seen several historic milestones over the last few years, but only a few films have managed to cross the coveted 100 crore mark on the first day in the domestic market. Dominated by Telugu origin films, the elite club is reserved for the biggest spectacles that not only ride on star power but also on unprecedented hype, massive release scales, and pan-India appeal. At the very top of the list is Pan India superstar Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule, which stormed into cinemas with an earth-shattering 209 crore opening in India "” the biggest single-day haul ever recorded in the country. Close on its heels are director SS Rajamouli's blockbusters RRR and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which grossed 156 crore and 153 crore respectively, setting benchmarks that seemed unbeatable at the time. Yash's KGF Chapter 2 followed with 134.50 crore, while Prabhas made his mark again with Kalki 2898 AD at 116 crore, Salaar at 107.10 crore, Saaho at 105 crore and Adipurush at 102.50 crore gross. The latest film in this prestigious club is Pawan Kalyan's They Call Him OG, which is estimated to gross over 100 crores in India. What's remarkable is that, except for one film, every single one of these 100 crore openers comes from South Indian cinema. The Telugu industry, in particular, has redefined the meaning of a "mass opening" in Indian cinema. Backed by visionary filmmakers like Rajamouli, Sukumar, Nag Ashwin, and Prashanth Neel, and powered by stars such as Allu Arjun, Prabhas, Ram Charan, Jr NTR, and Yash, these films have created a cultural and commercial wave that Bollywood has yet to match. Today, breaching the 100 crore mark on opening day in India has become the ultimate benchmark for any big-ticket release. With upcoming projects from the same powerhouses "” be it sequels, mythological spectacles, or high-octane action dramas "” the club is only expected to expand further. As Indian cinema continues to scale new heights, these films remain towering examples of how a perfect mix of scale, vision, and star power can turn a release into a nationwide festival. SS Rajamouli, Prabhas' 'Baahubali' Gets A New Re-Release Title And Release Date

Hyderabad, July 10 - A decade ago in 2015, on this same day (July 10), director SS Rajamouli's epic action drama Baahubali - The Beginning, starring Pan India superstar Prabhas, was released in theatres worldwide, and changed the Indian cinema for its greater good. ## Baahubali grossed approximately 650 crores worldwide and was the second highest-grossing Indian movie at that time, behind Aamir Khan's "PK" (792 crores). 2 years later, the second part, Baahubali - The Conclusion was released in April 2017, and became much bigger blockbuster than the first part. ## The second part grossed nearly 1800 crores worldwide, but it was again finished as the second biggest-grosser, behind Aamir Khan's "Dangal" (2070 crores), which released in 2016. Now, 10 years after the first film, both films are returning to the big screen in a single epic cut. ## Earlier this year, the makers announced the re-release of Baahubali, and now, sharing more details, it has been confirmed that both Baahubali - The Beginning and Baahubali - The Conclusion will be re-released as one film, titled Baahubali - The Epic, worldwide on October 31st this year in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam. ## This is probably the first time that both parts of a movie are getting re-released as a single cut, and the fans are excited to see how it works out. Both 'Baahubali' Films To Be Re-Released As One Single Film

Hyderabad, June 7 - SS Rajamouli's epic and path-breaking blockbuster Baahubali is returning to the big screen, but with a big twist. While the date is not disclosed yet, the film may hit the big screen on or around the birthday of Prabhas, who headlined this epic. ## According to the report by Gulte.com, both parts of Baahubali will be released in a one epic cut, instead of re-releasing separately. Blockbuster 'Baahubali - The Beginning' Final Worldwide Box Office Collection

Hyderabad, July 10 - SS Rajamouli's epic action drama Baahubali - The Beginning has turned 9 years old today. It was the movie which led the foundation stone of the highest-grossing Indian title in the form of its sequel Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion and paved the way for Southern Indian film industries to break the boundary barrier before BB2 took the momentum to next level. ## Starring Prabhas in the title role, Baahubali didn't have a smooth victory as it was panned by critics and the fear of failure loomed large. Mind you, had Baahubali failed, there might not be Baahubali 2 as the biggest Indian grosser and there might not be Prabhas as the biggest Pan India star, but destiny and audience had other plans. ## Baahubali overcame the mixed reviews and went on to become the first South Indian film to breach the 500 crores gross mark at the worldwide box office. Apart from the film's success in the original Telugu language, it was the success of the Hindi version which not only made a large contribution to Baahubali's overall revenue but also became the main target of the Pan-Indian films going forward. ## Baahubali was the first South Indian film to breach the 100 crores net mark in Hindi and since then, 9 more films have joined this prestigious box office club. The movie reportedly generated around 5 crore footfalls in all versions, including approximately 1.48 crores in Hindi alone and emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of the 21st century. ## Here is the final box office breakdown of Baahubali - The Beginning## India Gross Collection - 516.00 Cr.
