His "Spider-Man: No Way Home" has not slipped at once from the top three positions at the domestic box office since its debut in December 2021, and now, his latest release "Uncharted" is also on the same route. ## Sony Pictures' video game adaptation, "Uncharted" has taken the number 1 position at the domestic box office for the second time in a row with $23.3 million in the second weekend. The total domestic cume for Tom Holland-fronted has reached $83.4 million after 10 days. It has beaten "Scream" ($79M) to become the biggest domestic (North America) grosser for a film released in 2022 so far.## Overseas, the Ruben Fleischer-directed collected $35 million from 64 territories this past weekend, pushing its international total to $143 million. The Sony Picture's video game adaptation, based on the popular PlayStation game series from publisher Naughty Dog, "Uncharted" topped the 3-day domestic weekend with $44.2 million. ## Tom Holland has proved his star power and also answered many questions that he can also deliver at the box office outside "Spider-Man" movies. The 4-day President Weekend for "Uncharted" is projected to reach $51 million domestically (North America), which are significant box office numbers, considering the fact that the movie has been sidelined by critics with just a 39% score on Rotten Tomatoes. ## Internationally, the Ruben Fleischer-directed film is even more strong after debuting in the 47 new markets with $55.4 million. The studio's Weibo account shared the news today with a video message from Holland and Wahlberg and a subtitled trailer, as well as a new poster, according to Deadline. ## Based on Sony's video game series of the same name developed by Naughty Dog, "Uncharted" won't be a day-and-date release with domestic, but it is surely a great sign as Sony Pictures' "Spider-Man: No Way Home" is facing trouble to get released in China, owing to what amounted to an unofficial ban on Marvel throughout the past year. ## Apart from "Uncharted", the other Hollywood title that gets a release date in China is Warner Bros./DC's "The Batman", starring Robert Pattinson. Mumbai, December 24 - Sony Pictures has released the second trailer of Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg's action-adventure "Uncharted". The movie serves as an origin story and prequel to the video games of the same name created by Naughty Dog. It stars Tom Holland as Nathan Drake, and Mark Wahlberg as his mentor Victor Sullivan, along with Sophia Ali, Tati Gabrielle, and Antonio Banderas in supporting roles.## Directed by Ruben Fleischer, "Uncharted" will be released on 18 February 2022 in theaters. Sony has been a supporter of an exclusive theatrical release and continues to do despite the scare of the new covid-19 variant.
